Recent
years have seen an extraordinary number of extra-judicial killings of
political leaders and human rights defenders in the Philippines. The Asian
Human Rights Commission believes that these killings are preventable,
but will only stop if the local and international community publicly condemn
and pressure the government of the Philippines into taking action. |

Santos TALIBA, La Union The unabated merciless killings and abductions of political activists led us to the initial conclusion that these are just the result of the implementation of a subsisting official "modus operandi" (involving the Philippine Military/PNP and the Department of Justice of the GMA Government), aimed at silencing oppositions against the GMA Government. Government should do something to convince us that we are wrong in our initial conclusion. 6819. meanne manipula LAKBAY - Cagayan Valley, philippines UPHOLD HUMAN RIGHTS!!!
